You’re a Penny Planner

Budgeting is not a problem for you because saving money brings you joy and makes you feel safe. There is no denying that you are responsible when it comes to finances. Do not let a fear of losing stop you from living life a little more flexibly. A great way to try and let go a bit more is to give or donate some money, some savers find this is a small step in cutting the slack and not being so strict. Giving money away instead of spending money on yourself, may help ensure that you don’t value money over everything else. Make a conscious decision to think of how you can give back and not take saving money too seriously.

3 Tips for you:

  • Try to look at money as a resource and something that can and will be replenished.
  • Work on not having fear, you can talk to a financial advisor for reassurance.
  • Think more positively about money and make sure you have open conversations.

It is important to note that there is no such thing as a bad money personality. We are all individuals and there are pros and cons to each personality type. The goal of this quiz is to help you understand your own financial habits and mindset a little more in order to plan and adjust to reach your long term goals. Knowing which money personality is more in line with who you are will help you to deal with your own mindset and that of other people in a much more considered manner.

Something that is also important to know is that many of us have primary and secondary money personalities which can conflict with each other. For example,  our primary personality might be a Penny Planner but our secondary personality could be a Spendy Susie, which of course is going to cause us some internal frustrations.
